Portable Impedance Meter
divider.GIF (308 bytes)

A portable stand-alone, battery powered device used in checking large electrode arrays such as an E-CAP, displaying readings on a digital readout.

LIMIT SET is the is the maximum acceptable electrode impedance;it is adjusted using a linear potentiometer in conjunction with a switch which selects either the 1-10 or 10-100k Ohm range. A NO-GO (hold) will occur should an electrode exceed the LIMIT SET and at this time the offending electrode can be identified and corrected while observing the digital impedance meter; to reset a NO-GO press CONTINUE; to move on to the next electrode press STEP, or if in AUTO auto-step will occur.

Set impedance threshold and
meter will automatically stop
on channels that exceed
the preset.

Set the speed at which
the meter samples electrodes

READ TIME sets the IMPEDANCE display-time when in AUTO, however it will hold indefinitely when a NO-GO occurs. READ TIME can be adjusted from 1-5 seconds, the longer times permitting completion of a written log of the readings and the shorter times for a fast-scan to detect only those electrodes that exceed the LIMIT SET point.

TEST SOURCE selects either the pair of front-panel electrode jacks or the sub-D connector at the top-side of the cabinet, which normally receives an E-CAP connector.
