CHANNEL CROSS TALK: |
An important specification frequently omitted by other manufacturers, probably for good reason. SAI crosstalk is essentially negligible @ >80 dB (10000:1). |
EXPANDABLE: |
You may choose an option for adding additional channels at the time of order; existing systems can also be reworked to accept additional channels. |
PORTABLE: |

| Frequency response down to 0.01 Hz is now practical with our proprietary circuitry which recovers from open-leads in just seconds. Additionally, a DC option is now available which includes three selectable modes of baseline restoration: local reset, TTL remote reset, and periodic reset with local control of the reset interval, simplifying analysis of VLF data. (DC mode adds no data noise of any kind.) | |
RECOVERY TIME: |
Special circuitry in each channel functions automatically to reduce "lead off" recovery time to just a few seconds when in the 0.01 Hz HPF point; and even faster when higher frequency HPF points are selected. |
QRS BLANKING: |
QRS (ECG) blanking / fill-in option available to eliminate contamination of EMG's by the QRS event. |
LED MONITORS: |
LED monitors provide a continuous display of the integrity of each electrode connection; if the monitors are off, accurate data is being acquired !! Impedance measurements are optional with SAI Bioamps. |
BUILT IN CALIBRATION TEST SIGNAL: |
Precision calibration test signals facilitate accuracy and performance tests; sine, square & pulse are available, Local &/or remote control. |
GOLD CONTACTS: |
Gold contacts are utilized in all IC sockets and at all critical connections for stability and reliability; all IC's are in sockets for serviceability. |
| Unlike many other manufacturers, we offer only Custom Designed Bioamps in many configurations from 8 to 512+ channels. These BIOAMPS are expandable and upgradeable so you're never forced into obsolescence. | |
| All our Bioamps utilize circulating / rechargeable batteries. A typical 32 channel system consumes the power of a two D-cell flashlight !! Batteries can be supplied which will power the BIOAMP from a standard 15 hrs up to 60 hrs or more. Battery power reduces data artifact and adds another safety barrier between the subject and the AC power. | |
| In addition to being battery powered our isolated BIOAMPS feature a 3500 Vpk optical & magnetic isolation barrier and are designed to conform with AAMI / ANSI leakage standard: ES-1, 2.1 "an electro-mechanical apparatus with isolated connections". Signal output and digital I / O connections can be made to AC powered and grounded computers and other data collection devices without restriction. | |
| This option allows control of the BIOAMP via front-panel controls and by a computer through a parallel-port cable. GAIN, HPF, LPF parameters and Calibration modes can be selected by the computer by sending specific 8-bit byte code instructions. The port is compatible with TTL and Cmos logic. | |
MISCELLANEOUS: |
Options supplied include SCR (AC), SCL (DC), temperature, pressure, oximeter input, respiration, finger and ear pulse, movement/vibration, remote control, E-Cap/loose-lead electrode headbox with digital impedance meter, and the easy-to-use electrode-cap system by ELECTRO-CAP(TM). |
